The TBox RTU from Semaphore combines the advantages of a PLC and a RTU. It performs alarm management, local recording of events and analog sampled values.

Supervision Architecture

A solution of remote supervision and monitoring based on TOPKAPI SCADA software connected to TBox RTUs makes it possible to combine the advantages of a centralized architecture (multi-stations management and  control, generation of reports) with those of a decentralized architecture (teleprocessing of the interventions, redundancy, telediagnosis, remote maintenance, etc...) 

Supervisor TOPKAPI dialogues with the T-Box units using a modem/phone line connection (PSTN or GSM/GPRS) or direct connection with TCP/IP protocol (Ethernet network, Internet, Intranet) :    

	Management of the real time data.
	Automatic management of alarms
	Automatic reception and treatment of the whole of the time stamped data, and automatic incorporation to the logs and sampling files (1). Differential acquisition performed automatically upon each outgoing call (pull) or incoming call (push).
	Processing of the remote controls (logic and analog).
	Management of the incoming calls (reception of alarms, periodic calls) and outgoing (periodic and on event, manual).
	Follow-up of the durations and frequencies of communication, call test (2).

Information in Topkapi is handled using its usual features: graphic animated screens, powerful graph trend viewer, alarms & events views with filtering/selection features, real time calculation sheet, remote alarm notification, etc.
