SCADA software for SCHNEIDER PLCs
We are proud to announce that TOPKAPI is the first SCADA software in the world to obtain the SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC's label "Designed for Unity".
This means that TOPKAPI was deeply modified to collaborate with Unity-Pro and share a common variables database. Developments were achieved in the framework of an agreement between Schneider Electric and Areal (CAPP - Collaborative Automation Partner Program), ensuring a high level of interoperability. TOPKAPI communicates with SCHNEIDER PLCs (SquareD, Modicon, Telemecanique, Crouzet, Merlin Gerin, April) using various communication devices (see protocols list) : OPC, Modbus IP, Modbus, Ethway, Fipway, Modbus Plus, etc...
Ethernet / Modbus IP protocol is especially cheap and efficient as it only requires on the computer a standard Ethernet card and the TOPKAPI's Modbus TCP-IP driver. Moreover, AREAL has a very strong knowledge of SCHNEIDER's protocols. Questions related to Schneider's communication issues are often solved by the AREAL's hot line when Schneider's specialists cannot be reached.
The W@DE protocol enables time stamping by the RTUs and transparent download and processing by Topkapi.
AREAL is an independent software editor without any legal link to any hardware manufacturer. TOPKAPI has been designed to connect to any brand of hardware ( PLCs, building automation controllers, RTUs-Remote Terminal Units, telemetry systems, etc (see protocols list). TOPKAPI accepts all major standard protocols : OPC, LON, DDE, Modbus, Modbus IP, etc...Once installed, TOPKAPI will be liable to be connected to nearly any PLC or hardware ; the selection of a supplier will therefore remain open when the system will be extended or renewed.
