REUNION ISLAND

Water processing on Bourbon Island.

S.E.T.B. (Société Electrotechnique de Bourbon, subsidiary of GTIE) have implemented many projects with TOPKAPI in the Reunion Island and Mayotte, among which :

  •  Construction of flood gates for "Antenne 0" (Western coast irrigation master operating).

  •  Pumping stations for "Antenne 4" (Western coast irrigation)

  •  Building automation

  •  Technical management centralized in a containers terminal (Port – Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de la Réunion)

  •  Mamoudzou waste water treatment plant in Mayotte

The most recent project, currently being tested, concerns the drinkable water treatment station of the towns of Le Port and La Possession, which uses an ultra-modern microfiltering process.

The plant comprises 8 Allen Bradley SLC5 controllers in a DH+ network communicating with TOPKAPI through a KF1 (DH+/DF1) converter, and an Applicom PCI 1000 card. The system’s response time to an operator command (from clicking on screen to the field actuator) is virtually instant, around one tenth of a second.

The TOPKAPI's built-in stand-by module enables organizing stand-by shifts, and intervening remotely with additional setting reduced to the strict minimum.

SETB say they appreciate TOPKAPI for its easy implementation : the approach is intuitive, settings fast, and one can easily handle the software without any training courses. Elaborate does not mean complex.
